Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury underscored the need for making the new generation IT enabled to develop them as human resources.
“Youths have to be prepared as human resources through preparing themselves as IT enabled,” she said.The speaker said this while addressing a workshop titled “Digital Bangladesh: ICT in the Journey of Progress” arranged by Jatiya Sangsad (JS) secretariat at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in the capital’s Agargaon on Wednesday.
Prime Minister’s ICT Adviser Sajeeb Wazed Joy, Deputy Speaker Fazle Rabbi Miah, Chief Whip Noor-E-Alam Chowdhury Liton and State Minister for ICT Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak spoke on the occasion with JS Secretariat Senior Secretary Zafar Ahmed Khan in the chair.
She also said that the digitalization is contributing to build a knowledge based society. “Information Technology (IT) based skilled human resources will be the main driving force of developed Bangladesh,” she said.
Terming countrywide digitization as a gift from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Shirin said the digital Bangladesh has been opened a new horizon and the mastermind is Sajeeb Wazed Joy. “The countrymen are now enjoying the benefit of digital Bangladesh with last ten years,” she said.
The Speaker also called upon lawmakers to come forward for building digital Bangladesh and digital leadership.
