Tomorrow’s HSC exam deferred

The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and its equivalent examinations scheduled to be held on Saturday have been shifted to May 14 due to cyclonic storm ‘Fani’, which will cross the country today.

Coordinator of the inter-education board subcommittee Professor M Ziaul Haque confirmed the news by saying, ‘As per the revised routine, the examinations of May 4 will be held on May 14’.

The tests on Higher Mathematics (First paper) and Islamic Studies (First paper) were supposed to be held on May 4 now will be held on May 14 at 10.00am to 1.00pm and Home Economics (First paper) will be held on May 14, from 2.00pm to 4.00pm.

The HSC and its equivalent examinations began on April 1. A total of 13, 51,505 examinees from 9,081 educational institutions across the country are participating in the examinations this year.
