Local Government and Rural Development Minister Md Tazul Islam on Friday said that there is no outcry for basic necessities in the country.

The minister said Bangladesh is now a proud nation because there is no outcry for food, clothes and shelter in the country. Now the government is working relentlessly for offering future generation a modern lifestyle.

He came up with the comments while talking as the chief guest at the inaugural programme of the newly-built upazila parishad complex of Manirampur upazila in Jashore.

The minister also said, “The plans that the government have taken so far will ensure the betterment of the people once that are implemented. The incumbent government under leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is working to implement the plan. Whoever hatch conspiracy against these, people already deserted them, and do same in the future.”

Bangabandhu had a dream to turn the country into a developed one like Singapore, Hong Kong and Switzerland. Before realising his dream, Bangabandhu has been killed along with his family members so that Bangladesh cannot stand upright in the world map. But hope of the plotters is faded away as the country became as development model in the world. Within very short time, we will develop the country following Singapore- Hong Kong, the LGRD minister added.

State Minister for LGRD Swapan Bhattacharjee also spoke on the occasion.
