Two students found dead at hotel

Police recovered the bodies of two students from a residential hotel in Farmgate of the capital on Tuesday afternoon.

A team of Tejgaon Police Station recovered the bodies of Aminul Islam Sajol, 21, and Merrium Akhter Jerin, 19, after breaking open the doors of a room on the sixth floor at Hotel Samrat.

The bodies which were found lying on bed were sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Mozaffar, assistant sub-inspector of Tejgaon Police Station, said, “Both of the deceased are students. Sajol and Jerin were students of Tejgaon  College and World University respectively.”

It is believed that Sajol and Jerin were in love with each other, he said, adding that they are now trying to establish the cause of deaths.

A man has been detained for interrogation.
