A daylong workshop on ‘Professional Approaches of Software Development’ was held at Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) on Saturday.
Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) department of the university organised the workshop. Norwegian company ‘Cefalo Bangladesh Limited’ was technical partner of the workshop.The company Chief Operating Officer (COO) Engineer Ferdous Mahmud Shaon presented the keynote paper on ‘Industry Readiness for Fresh Graduate’ at the workshop.
In his speech, Engineer Ferdous focused on required qualifications for employment of fresh graduates in software industry.
The updated online profile is also being considered as one of the main qualities for appointment of the engineers, he said.
The company Senior Software Engineers Suman Barua, Satyajit Dey and Supan Kar Banik conducted sessions on different issues at the workshop attended by the final year students of the CSE department.
The participants were also awarded with certificates.
CSE department Assistant Professor Mir Muhammad Saki Kaosar was coordinator of the workshop while fourth year students Rashedur Rahman, Sarollo Roy, Samnun Ibne Ahmed, Raju Ahmed, Mahbuba Hossain Sakura, Marufur Rahman and Mobinul Islam assisted him.
