‘Teachers should reduce dropouts, ensure quality education’

RANGPUR: The teachers of primary level schools and other educational institutions should take the responsibility to reduce school dropouts to zero level by improving quality of primary level education, reports BSS.

Government officials expressed the view today at a discussion in an Education Fair arranged by the Department of Primary Education on the Public Library ground here in observance of the National Primary Education Week-2019.

The Upazila Primary Education Offices of all eight upazilas and District Primary Education Office set up nine stalls on the fair premises displaying their innovative projects on primary education, education inputs and materials.

Hundreds of primary level students, teachers, member of school managing committee (SMC) members, guardians and civil society members visited different stalls on the fair ground and enjoyed a colourful cultural function.

Deputy Commissioner Enamul Habib attended the discussion as the chief guest with Divisional Deputy Director of the Directorate of Primary Education Md. Abdul Wahab in the chair.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) Ruhul Amin Mian and District Primary Education Officer Md. Shahidul Islam addressed as the special guest.
