Smith to miss two BPL matches due to elbow injury

Comilla Victorians received a huge blow as their skipper Steven Smith is leaving for Australia to do an MRI, said Victorians official on Thursday.

According to the official they are expecting him to return after the MRI that he will undergo due to his elbow injury that recurred in the last one week only if he is permitted to take part further in the competition.

‘’He is leaving to do an MRI in Australia,’’ Victorians coach Mohammad Salahuddin told Cricbuzz. We are hoping that he will join us if nothing serious is found in the MRI,’’ he added.

Since his arrival, Smith refrained from throwing balls during the fielding drills, while during the last two net sessions of Victorians, it was seen that he refrained from taking part in the net sessions.

According to officials they are expecting him to miss the next two matches of BPL.
