Inspector General of Police Dr Mohammad Javed Patwary on Saturday said chaos will not be tolerated in the name of movement ahead of the upcoming parliamentary election.

“Violence and anarchy will be strongly dealt with,” he said.

The IGP came up with the statements while talking to reporters after attending a programme held at the convention hall of Police Staff College in Mirpur of the city.

“We are prepared enough to face any kind of vandalism ahead of the general election,” he said.

Among others, DMP Commissioner Asaduzzaman Miah and Additional IGP Mohsin Hossain were present on the occasion.
