At least 13 Nepali students who were studying at Ragib-Rabeya Medical College Hospital in Sylhet are among the dead in the US-Bangla plane crash in their homeland on Monday.

After finishing their final examinations, the students were returning to Kathmandu from Dhaka by the plane to visit their parents, said Roy, an associate professor of the college.

They are Sanjay Poudel, Sanjaya Maharjan, Neega Maharjan, Anjila Shrestha, Purnima Lohani, Sweta Thapa, Meeli Maharjan, Saruna Shrestha, Algina Baral, Charu Baral, Samira Byanjankar, Ashna Shakya and Princy Dhami.

Sources at the college said that 13 students were killed in the plane crash. The educational institution announced mourning for three days.

The plane crashed in the Nepalese capital while landing, leaving almost all the passengers dead.
