Asif, Akhi come up with new music video soon

Celebrated singers Asif Akbar and Akhi Alamgir coming up with a new music video for music lovers very soon.

The singers have recently stood before camera for the music video at different shooting spots in the city.

They have lent their voice to the number titled ‘Tiptip Brishti’ written and tuned by Tarun Munshi  and Vashkar Jony has made the music video.

Under the banner of Dhrubo Music Station, the music video will be released very soon.

Commenting about working in the music video Asif Akbar said, “Ankhi and I always get proposals to render duet numbers, but we are always careful about working together. We only agree to work together when we are satisfied with the composition and music of the song.”

“The song ‘Tiptip Brishti’ has got all the quality we were looking for and thus we have rendered the song together. I hope that the audience will like our song,” he added.

While, Akhi said, “I really liked the entire arrangement of the song to reach out to the audience. Also, the audience has a unique fondness for our duet song and they also admire our performance as well”.   I hope the lyrics of the song will be able to touch the hearts of Bengali musicophiles, she added.

Asif Akbar is a popular pop singer in the country.  He releases solo, duet and mixed albums and also sings for Bangladeshi cinema.

He received the Meril Prothom Alo Award for Best Singer (Male) for five consecutive years and the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Male Playback Singer.

Akbar’s debut album was released on 30 January 2001. He consistently releases solo albums and also duets with singers such as Kavita Krishnamurthy, Kumar Sanu, Bappa Majumdar, Dolly Shaontoni, Suzana Ansar, Sonia, Kaniz Suborna, Dinat Jahan Munni, Monir Khan, as well as many others. He temporarily retired from commercial singing on 17 March 2010 to concentrate on his political career, but returned to the Bangladeshi music scene with his solo album titled X Prem released in August 2013.

While, Akhi Alamgir is a Bangladeshi singer. In 1984, she won the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Child Artiste for her performance in the film Bhat De.

Her father, Alamgir, is an actor.
