Rains at some places in southern regions of the country have decreased. The tendency of rainfall may decline further in the coming days. As a result, the temperature may rise, Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) predicted.
Although it rained on the day of Eid-ul-Azha, there was no rain in a part of southern region. People in that region are suffering from scorching heat.
On the same day, the highest temperature of the country was recorded at 35.4 degree Celsius while Dhaka recorded 33.8 degree Celsius temperature.
Highlighting weather forecast for the next 24 hours, meteorologist Md Shahinul Islam said rain or thunderstorm accompanied by gusty wind may occur at places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, most of the places of Sylhet divisions, different places in Chattogram and Barishal divisions. At the same time, moderate to heavy rain is likely to occur in some places of the country.
