Severe heat may continue for 3 more days

Severe heat coupled with load shedding has spelled untold sufferings of the city dwellers.

The hot weather may continue for three more days as mild to moderate heat wave sweeps over country, Bangladesh Meteorological Department said.

On Thursday, the highest temperature was recorded at 41 degree Celsius in Dinajpur while Dhaka recorded 37.4 degree Celsius.

Drizzling occurred at one or two places in Chattogram and Sylhet divisions from 6am on Thursday to 6am on Friday.

Quoting forecast for the next 24-hour starting from 9am Friday, meteorologist Bazlur Rashid said rain or thundershower accompanied by gusty wind may occur at a few places in Sylhet and Chattogram divisions. Other places of the country may remain dry.
