People in parts of Bangladesh may have to endure extreme heat rather than comfort during Monday’s Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations.
“Mild to moderate heatwave is sweeping over Dhaka, Rajshahi, and Khulna divisions and Moulvibazar, Rangamati, Barishal and Patuakhali districts and it may abate some places,” read a Met office bulletin on Sunday.
The weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country, it said.
Day temperature may fall slightly and night temperature may rise slightly over the country.
The country’s highest temperature was recorded at 37.2 degrees Celsius in Ishwardi upazila of Pabna.
