Toggi Fun World has donated a portion of ticket money to three charitable organisations for the wellbeing of underprivileged children under the campaign ‘friendship for better life’.
The theme park authority handed over the charity to JAAGO Foundation, Bidyanondo Foundation and Bashundhara Special Children Foundation at a programme at Bashundhara City shopping mall in the capital on Tuesday.
JAAGO Foundation Partnership Manager Tanvir Morshed Chowdhury and Bidyanondo Foundation Head of Image and Communication Salman Khan Yeasin received the cheques on behalf of respective organisations.
Addressing the event, Mohsinul Karim said Toggi Fun World has decided to support the charitable organisations that work for children.
“Bashundhara Group has been working to improve the livelihood of special children. The initiatives of the organisations are really commendable,” said Karim, also a retired major of Bangladesh Army.
Bashundhara Special Children Foundation has been working for 14 types of differently able children. The foundation supports special education for 285 children.
JAAGO Foundation Partnership Manager Tanvir Morshed Chowdhury said the organisation is working to ensure quality education for underprivileged children.
As part of the campaign, Toggi Fun World has been setting aside Tk 1 from the sale of each ticket since its launch in August last year. The theme park also organised complimentary visit for the underprivileged children on different occasions.
Toggi Fun World has eleven floors -- from level eight to eighteen – in the country’s most popular shopping centre. It has over 150 exciting games and rides including laser tag and paint ball with virtual and augmented reality. Most of the games and rides are imported from Europe and China.
