DHAKA- Bangladesh take on lowly Bhutan in their third and last league match of SAFF U-20 Women's Championship scheduled to be held tomorrow (Tuesday) at Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Sepoy Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Stadium in the city's Kamalapur.
The match kicks off at 7 pm, following the day's other match between India and Nepal that begins at 3 pm at the same venue.
After the match, Bangladesh' head coach Golam Rabbani Choton expressed his stratification over his girls' performance against India. Custodian Rupna Chakma was superb under the bar foiling some real attacks and the head coach must be looking forward the same performance against Rupna in the Bhutan match.
After the two matches, Bangladesh have collected four points from two matches while Bhutan, who already eliminated from the title race, losing their first two matches, is yet to secure any points playing the same number of matches.
India, who also have a bright chance of making the final of the championship, also have four points from the same number of matches, however are ahead of Bangladesh in the points table in terms of goal difference.
Bangladesh will play the final if they draw against Bhutan. In that case, a team between Nepal and India will be the next finalist. Even if Bangladesh loses against Bhutan, there will be also possibility of playing in final. In this case, Bangladesh will go through complex calculations.
Earlier, Bangladesh beat Nepal by 3-1 goals in their opening match but played out to a goalless draw with arch-rival India in their second match.
After the league based matches, the two top teams will play the final on February 9 at 6 pm at the same venue.
