Blood donation programme held at CGA office marking National Mourning Day

Speakers at a programme said voluntary blood donation is a noble act. Through this donation, people will stand by people, this is humanity.

The humane people are excellent people. These outstanding people will build golden bangla, they said at the opening ceremony of the day-long voluntary blood donation program organised on the occasion of the National Mourning Day.

Quantum Foundation in collaboration with Controller General of Accounts (CGA) organised the programme at the CGA office premises in Segun Bagicha of the capital on Sunday.

Controller General of Accounts (CGA) Md Nurul Islam inaugurated the event.

Paying respect to all the martyrs of August 15, 1975, including Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the great architect of independence, the CGA said, “Those who come to us for service, have the right to get services with respect. So, we will be sincere to serve people.”

 “We will fulfil our duty with devotion. Because we are indebted to the people of this country, to this country, to this nation” he added.

Quantum Foundation Director Motivation M Rezaul Hasan and Quantum Media Cell Convener Mohammad Mahmuduzzaman gave a welcome address on the occasion.

Expressing gratitude to the voluntary blood donors, they highlighted the various benefits and importance of blood donation. Besides, they also expressed optimism that it is possible to meet the blood demand of our country through voluntary blood donation.

The officials and employees of various levels of CGA office voluntarily participated in it and donated blood to save the dying patient.
