HATIL, the country’s premium furniture brand, has participated in the 33rd edition of Index Fair 2022.
Index, renowned as the prominent interior design exhibition, has successfully maintained its position as the leading business-to-business trade fair in India's competitive chart of trade fairs. This of India's largest focused commercial platform on interiors, architecture, materials, and design brings together suppliers and buyers in a design atmosphere. This fair has been held every year in Mumbai and has expanded its reach to the National Capital Region of Delhi’s Pragati Maidan in 2019. The three days long fair has been scheduled from 22 to 24 July, 2022.
“Index is a pioneer interior design exhibition in India which is one of the finest platforms for us to showcase our products in the international arena. People from different backgrounds-- architects, builders, and celebrities present at the inauguration ceremony and visit this fair. Participating in such fairs enables us to connect with new business opportunities. This is the first time we are participating, and we are getting very good footfall and response. If we see a positive outcome, we will continue here like the trade fairs in Bangladesh and other countries.” Mr. Rahman continued.
HATIL has been attending this fair with their artistic, modern and ergonomic-designed furniture.
Currently, HATIL is continuing its business with 72 showrooms in Bangladesh. As the first Bangladeshi furniture brand, it is continuing its business successfully in India, Bhutan, Canada, the USA, Australia, the Middle East, Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia. This brand opened 26 showrooms across different states, including Mizoram, Manipur, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Punjab, Guwahati, Haryana, Chandigarh and Kashmir in India and two at Thimphu in Bhutan.
“The taste and culture of Indian people are somewhat similar to the people of Bangladesh. Due to our products’ quality and design, people from our neighboring country are started taking us positively. Having such positive responses, we are maximizing our outlets in India.” Mr. Rahman further added.
HATIL traces its roots to H.A. Timber Industries Ltd., a company that was established in 1963 by Mr. Rahman's father, Late Mr. Habibur Rahman. Taking into account the customers’ intention to purchase furniture, their needs and the overall favorable atmosphere, Mr. Selim H Rahman established HATIL Furniture in 1989. It has been practicing the Japanese quality management philosophy “Kaizen” since 2007. It owns one of the largest factories in South Asia that is fully equipped with modern machinery, technology, and robot. More than 3,000 workers are working together daily for this brand, enabling its production capacity of around 48,000 pieces of furniture in a month.
