People in plenty since midnight have crowded around Kamlapur Railway Station in the capital to collect Eid advance train tickets.
Hundreds of thousands of men and women were seen standing in queue in front of the station seeking for ticket to go to village home to celebrate Eid-ul-Azha vacation with near and dear ones.
Mamun-Ar-Rashid, a private company employee, said he came to collect ticket for going to Rangpur to celebrate Eid with parents and relatives.
About problem with online ticket procurement, he claimed to have failed repeatedly to collect online ticket due to server trouble.
Kamlapur Railway Station Manager Md Masud Sarwar at a press briefing Friday morning said all ticket aspirants will not get tickets following inadequacy of ticket.
“All people will not get ticket. The number of ticket aspirants is higher than the number of tickets. However, there is no scope for ticket sale on black market this year.”
The railway department is selling tickets today (July 1) for the journey of July 5.
