Moon sighted, fasting begins Sunday

The moon of the holy month of Ramadan was seen in the sky of the country on Saturday (April 2) evening. Therefore, the holy month of Ramadan, the month of fasting for Muslims, begins on Sunday (April 3).

The holy Lailatul Qadr will be celebrated on Thursday night, April 26.

On Saturday (April 2) evening, the Jessore Deputy Director of the Islamic Foundation's Religious Invitation and Culture Department phoned the Baitul Mukarram in the capital to report the sighting. The National Moon Sighting Committee will officially announce this soon.
