Qcoom official Nirob remanded in fraud case

A Dhaka court placed e-commerce platform Qcoom communication and public relations head Humayun Kabir Nirob, popularly known as RJ Nirob on one day remand in a fraud case filed with Tejgaon industrial police station.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Begum Mahmuda Akter passed the order as police produced him before the court and pleaded to place him on five-day remand in the case.

Police arrested Nirob from his Navodoy Housing flat located in Adabor area on early Friday.

Earlier on October 4, another court had placed Qcoom owner and chief executive officer (CEO) Ripon Miah on two-day remand in a case lodged under Digital Security Act (DSA) for embezzling money through online fraudulence.
