Bangladesh Athletics Federation called up the England-born Bangladeshi athlete Imran Khan for the trial with a hope that the sprinter would compete for the nation in different international competitions in the upcoming days.
The 26-year expat sprinter will land Dhaka today while his trials will be held on October 9 at BKSP at 4 pm, confirmed federation general secretary Adv Abdur Rakib Montu on Monday.
The federation arranged a press conference on Tuesday at its premises at 12 pm. However, Imran's timings in 60m and 100m are 6.68s and 10.27s.
Meanwhile, Imran is not the first expat athlete in Bangladesh. Earlier, the federation called up a USA-born athlete Alida Sikder to represent the nation in long jump in 4th Islamic Solidarity Games in Azerbaijan in 2017.
