Education Secretary visits Bangamata University

Education Secretary Md Mahbub Hossain visited the Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib University of Science & Technology (BSFMSTU) in Jamalpur on Sunday.  

He addressed a view exchange meeting with the Teachers and Officers on campus as the chief guest.

Md Mahbub Hossain said all concerned including students and teachers need to concentrate on building the university as a world-class higher educational institution which has been established in the name of Sheikh Fazilatunnesa, the wife of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

He expressed satisfaction over the ongoing activities of the university including education within three years of its establishment.

The meeting was chaired by Prof Dr Syed Samsuddin Ahmed, the Vice-Chancellor of the University, He reiterated to build Bangamata Sheikh Fajilatannesa Mujib Science & Technology University as an international standard institution of higher learning.

Mr. Mohammad Abdul Mannan, Treasurer of BSFMSTU, the special guest of the program, highlighted the overall activities of the university including education.

On the other hand Prof Dr Sushanta Kumar Bhattacharya, Dean of the Faculty of Science, Mursheda Zaman, Deputy Commissioner of Jamalpur and other teachers and officials of the university were present at the occasion.

Earlier, the Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Syed Samsuddin Ahmed handed over a commemorative crest to the Education Secretary on behalf of the university. At the end of the exchange of views, the Education Secretary toured the campus along with the newly constructed temporary academic building of the University.
