Bangladesh pace bowler Taskin Ahmed said on Sunday that he is yet to start bowling in full rhythm.

Taskin came to the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium for the first time since going back home after the home series against New Zealand.

The right arm pace bowler went to complete his Umrah during the break with the several other cricketers.

Taskin told Daily Sun that though it was his first day at nets he was doing his gym regularly.

‘’Yes it was my first day in the net after the break,’’ Taskin told Daily Sun on Sunday  after bowling five overs to Nurul Hasan and Mahmudullah.

‘’But I was doing my gym regularly,’’ he said.

Taskin started bowling in short run-up and he was focused on maintaining a right line and length.

‘’I just bowled couple of deliveries in full pace. I will gradually increase my intensity,’’ said Taskin adding that he will try to back his strength during the upcoming ICC World T20, scheduled to start next month in the UAE and Oman.

“I think the mental shift is very important because the wicket we played here and the wicket that we are expected to have in the T20 World Cup will be different,” he said.

“I will try to back my strength that is bowling over 140kmph and hit the seam on the right spot and if the wicket is favourable then it will certainly work,” he added.
