The rail communication of Dhaka with other parts of the country has been restored after seven hours, say media reports.

Three compartments of a freight train derailed at Tongi in Gazipur around 10:00am on Tuesday (September 21).

Following the derailment, the rail communication in Dhaka-Chattogram and Dhaka-Sylhet routes was snapped.

The communication was restored around 6:00pm. No one was injured in the incident of derailment of three compartments of the freight train.
