Bangladesh national football team captain Jamal Bhuyan believed that Nigeria-born Bangladeshi forward Eleta Kingsley can solve the finishers’ crisis in their team.
“We don’t have a real box player, a real number nine. Most of us are wingers. If Kingsley comes here and gives his best, it will improve our performance a lot,” Jamal told the reporters after a BPL match between Bashundhara Kings and Saif SC on Tuesday.
Jamal also believed that they have a good chance in SAFF Championship as their opponents are between 140th to 190th rankings except for India.
“We have played against Kyrgyzstan and Palestine, they rank 90 places above us. But most of the teams in SAFF are between 140th to 190th except India. So I think we have a chance there,” the captain said.
“I’m not saying that we will win. We must have to perform well, must have to work hard. There are no semifinals in the SAFF. We have to earn 10 out of 12 points to play in the final there. I think we have to start well,” he ended.
