A Bangladesh Cricket Board official said on Thursday that opener Liton Das will need nearly one week of rehabilitation for his wrist injury that forced him to be on the sideline during the ongoing Dhaka Premier Division T20 League.
Liton, who signed for Abahani Limited in the ongoing DPL, is yet to feature in the league due to a wrist injury while it also forced him to leave the bio-bubble which is in place for the tournament.
“Liton came today and we have told him that we will monitor him from the close quarter for the next couple of days to see where he stands following the rehabilitation,” BCB chief physician Debashish Chowdhury told The Daily Sun.
“He is currently outside the bubble and will be doing rehabilitation from home. If we feel he has recovered sufficiently we will bring him back into the bubble. There is a sprain in his wrist and we decided to see how it goes after covering it,” he added.
Liton is running out of time as his current form is certainly not noteworthy and he also faced a drop from Bangladesh squad during their last ODI against Sri Lanka at home last month.
