3 people diagnosed with Indian variants of Covid-19 in Jashore, Narail

Indian variants of Covid-19 were found after testing samples of three people, who are staying in institutional quarantine in Jashore and Narail.

Associate Director of Genome Sequencing of Jashore Science and Technology University Prof Dr Iqbal Kabir Zahid confirmed this information, says media report on Tuesday.

“Those who are coming from India may carry any type of Indian variant. As a result, we are trying to confirm the variant, if the sample of Covid-19 is positive. It would not be wise to release such patients. Besides, we need to complete the vaccine activities quickly so that there will be less chance of being infected,” Dr Iqbal Kabir added.
