The government is mulling to extend the shutdown of all educational Institutions as the country still remains at high risk of mass spreading of coronavirus.
As per the previous decision of the government, all schools and colleges were scheduled to reopen on May 23 and the universities on the next day."It won't be possible to reopen educational institutions by May 23 and May 24 as the government is considering to extend the restrictions of ongoing lockdown", Deputy Minister for Education Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury told media on Saturday.
All educational institutes remained closed for past 14 months due to the Covid-19 pandemic which is causing severe harm to the students.
Earlier on March 25, Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni announced that all schools and colleges across the country will reopen after Eid.
