Khaleda likely to get passport soon sans 'fingerprint, signature'

The application for machine readable passport (MRP) of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, who is now undergoing treatment at Evercare Hospital in Dhaka,  has been submitted.    

The conditions of 'finger print and signature' have been relaxed for the passport of the BNP chairperson, according to media report.  

It is learnt that the passport fee has been given. The passport will be issued soon. The passport of the former prime minister expired in 2019. 

In this regard, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said the passport of Khaleda Zia expired for which application was made on her behalf and she will get the passport soon as per the regulation.
