Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has said mural of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman will be established in every union of the country periodically.
He said, “Awami League (AL) government is working for ensuring security of the people and for the development of the country after being instilled with the spirit of our independence. The government is working cordially to enhance facilities and protection of the freedom fighters.”He came up with the statements while virtually inaugurating mural of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on the premises of Parbatinagar Union Council in Laxmipur Sadar on Saturday noon.
A mural of Bangabandhu and a nameplate of the freedom fighters in the area were set up under financing of the UP council marking Birth Centenary of Bangabandhu and 50 years celebration of independence, Sadar Upazila Parishad sources said.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Md Anowar Hossain Akand graced the programme as chief guest.
Among others, Laxmipur SP Dr. AHM Kamruzzaman, Laxmipur municipality mayor Abu Taher, Sadar UNO Mohammad Masum, District Awami League leader Advocate Nurul Huda Patwary and Parbatinagar Union Parishad Chairman freedom fighter Salauddin Ahmed Bhuiyan were also present on the occasion.
