Two people, including a  member of Bangladesh Ansar, were killed and three others injured after a microbus hit an unidentified vehicle near Elenga Jaldo Bridge of Tangail early Monday.

The deceased were identified as Sabuj Mia and Ansar member Sanwar Hossain.

Matiur Rahman, sub-inspector (SI) of Highway police outpost, confirmed the matter to media.

He said the unidentified vehicle hit the Rangpur-bound microbus on Dhaka-Tangail highway at 2:00 am, leaving Sabuj and Sanwar dead on the spot and three others injured.

Later, locals took the injured to Tangail General Hospital, he said.
