Election Commission (EC) senior secretary Md Alamgir on Thursday said the schedule of the municipal elections will be declared on Sunday or Monday.

Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) will be used in the first phase of elections to all municipalities, he said.    

The EC secretary disclosed this information while talking to journalists at the office of the EC at Agargaon in the capital on Thursday.

He said documents have been submitted for elections of the first phase. The schedule of the elections will be declared after getting required approval.
