Explanation on dress code of IPH employees sought

The authorities concerned have sought explanation from the Institute of Public Health regarding the dress code of their employees.

Media report revealed on Thursday that the institute directed its Muslim employees to maintain religious dress code in the office.

According to a notification signed by its Director Dr Mohammad Abdur Rahim, the Muslim male employees have to wear clothes that are not below the ankle and female employees must wear hijab and clothes that go below ankle in length.

The employees were asked to keep their phones on silent mode during office time, the notice added.
