Noted educationist and writer Dr Borhan Uddin Khan Jahangir passed away on Monday.
He was 84.The renowned art critic breathed his last at his residence in Gulshan in the capital at around 12:00noon, said Fatema Mamun, a relative of the noted writer.
The Ekushey Padak winning author had been suffering from different old age complications, she said.
His body will be taken to his village home in Kachua of Chandpur district for burial, said Fatema.
State Minister for Cultural Affairs KM Khalid expressed deep shock at the demise of the noted writer and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family.
