Dipshikha Library Movement observed National Library Day 2020 in Kishoreganj’s Katiadi. On the occasion the voluntary organisation arranged a procession. Starting from the Katiadi Upazilla Parishad gate it ended at the Agrani Bank intersection with a brief discussion.
Upazilla Nirbahi Officer Akterunnesa was the chief guest in the programme chaired by coordinator of Dipshikha Library Movement Badrul Alam Nayeem. Former Katiadi Upazilla Parishad Chairman and Katiadi Upazilla Awami League’s general secretary Abdul Wahab Ain Uddin was the special guest. Among others Katiadi Sahitya Sangsad president Meraj Raheem, Katiadi Press Club vice president Ruhul Amin Raju, journalist Rafiqul Hayder Titu and ‘Katiadi Samachar’ editor Sarwar Hossain Shahin addressed the function.Speakers have said that there is no alternative of reading books. If we want to build our country properly we have to read books. We have to spread the practice of reading books among all the people of different strata of society. Only it can help us to make a drugs and terrorism free country. Organisers have stated that they will set up libraries in the rural villages and arrange book reading competition marking the birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
