ACC sues former RAJUK accountant’s wife for Tk 1.2cr illegal wealth

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Sunday filed a case against the wife of a former accountant of Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (RAJUK) on the charge of amassing wealth of Tk 1.20 crore beyond known sources of income.

ACC assistant director Md Saiful Islam filed the case against Shirin Akter, with its integrated district office-1 in Dhaka under section 27 (1) of Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2004.

According to the case statement, on October, 2016, Shirin Akter, widow of ex-RAJUK accountant Md Jamal Uddin and resident of city’s Banani area, amassed wealth worth about Tk 1,20,22,469 illegally.
