A driver was killed and 30 others were injured as a Cox’s Bazar-bound picnic bus carrying students of various education institutions in Dhaka veered off the road and plunged into a ditch on Chattogram-Cox’s Bazar highway of Ramu upazila in Chattogram early Saturday.

The identity of the deceased and injured could not be known immediately.

Sources said that some of the injured are the students of Dhaka University.

The injured have been admitted to different hospitals in Chattogram and Cox's Bazar.
