Simanta brings fifth gold medal for Bangladesh in South Asian Games

Bangladesh won the fifth gold medal in the ongoing 13th edition of the South Asian Games on Saturday as Mabia Akter Simanta secured gold in 76-kg category of women's weightlifting in Pokhara in Nepal.

Earlier on Thursday, Humaira Akhter Antara and Marjan Aktar Priya bagged two gold medals in women's individual under-61kg and under-55kg weight categories in karate respectively while Al Amin secured another gold medal in the men's individual under-60kg weight category in karate.

On Monday, Dipu Chakma secured the first gold medal for the country after winning the taekwondo poomsae event 29-plus-year category.
