Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurates 10th national council of Krishak League

The Awami League president and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has inaugurated the 10th national council of the ruling party’s farmer affiliated body Bangladesh Krishak League at the historic Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital.

The PM, also organizational leader of Krishak League, reached the spot at around 11:15 am today (Wednesday).

The second session of the council will be held at the Engineer’s Institute of Bangladesh in the capital at this afternoon.

Amid a widespread drive against corruption and illegal businesses, supporters and activists of Bangladesh Krishak League are expecting a fresh start to get a momentum.

Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman formed the Krishak League on April 19, 1972, which aimed at developing agriculture and the state of farmers and peasants.

The last council of Bangladesh Krishak League was held on July 19, 2012.

After Bangladesh Krishak League’s council, Bangladesh Sramik League will hold its annual council event on November 9, Awami Swechhasebak League on November 16 and Jubo League’s congress on November 23.
