The International Horticulture Exhibition 2019, better known as the Beijing Expo, continues to draw huge number of visitors every day.
With the theme of “Live Green, Live Better”, the 162-day global expo is being held in Yanqin county of Beijing from April 29 and schedule to continue till October 7.People from all walks of life from across the world flock in droves to pavilions of different countries at the largest ever gardening show in China.
Foreign pavilions decorated with their respective national characteristics are doing brisk business as they are thronged with many visitors every day especially at weekends.
Bangladeshi pavilion has won the hearts of visitors with its artistic decoration and beautiful products from the very beginning of the expo.
The pavilion turns into an animated gathering with the footsteps of visitors of different countries from across the world every day.
Traditional and renowned Bangladeshi items like jute and jute products, silk products, brass, textiles, and stamps and postcards of Bangladesh have been put on display at the pavilion.
Bangladeshi handicrafts like mini Ektara, Dugdogi, Nakshi Khata, Naksi boat, Palki and jewelry items have been selling like hotcakes at the expo.Decorated with the national flower of Bangladesh, Water Lily, The pavilion portrays the natural beauty of the South Asian nation to the world.
Md Abdul Matin, the owner of the pavilion, said, “I have designed the pavilion in line with the theme of the expo and put water lily in water to showcase visitors our national flower.”
“With the decoration, I have tried to tell visitors about tourism, bilateral ties between China and Bangladesh, ecology and culture of my country,” he added.
Pavilion has three televisions to show visitors beautiful Bangladesh, he said.
The Expo being held at the foot of the Great Wall features a wide array of educational and interactive exhibits alongside with public events, thematic symposia and cultural performances.
The sites of the exhibition allow the greening of the cities where they take place and aim at improving local quality of life through gardens, parks, and cultural and leisure spaces.
The global event expected to gather more than 16 million visitors shows the development success of China and Chinese people's fulfillment of new development concepts as well.
