Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s Special Assistant Biplob Barua on Wednesday filed a general diary with Sher-e Bangla Nagar Police station seeking legal action against a fraudulent group which is sending fake letters to different organisations and institutions using his name.
In his diary, Biplob Barua also the deputy office secretary of ruling Awami League wrote, “Since being appointed as Special Assistant to the Honourable Prime Minister, I have not given any letter, recommendation or instruction to any person or organisation using my seal-pad till now. But I received complaints that a fraudulent group is sending fake letters to different organisations using my name.”Terming such activities serious crime, the AL leader said, “This kind of crime is being operated to make confusion in state and political activities and to tarnish my image. So, immediate legal action against such fraudulent activities is necessary.”
He also urged all to be cautious about this fraudulent group.
