Writ petition seeks High Court directive to stop selling expired medicines

A writ petition has been filed with the High Court seeking its directives to stop selling expired medicines and to withdraw those from shops.

The HC bench of Justice FR M Nazmul Ahasan and Justice KM Kamrul Quader accepted the writ petition

The court is likely to hear the writ petition on Tuesday (tomorrow), informed ABM Abdullah Al Mahmud Bashar.

The Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection (DNCRP) recently said it found expired medicines in 93 per cent of the pharmacies in the capital.

The DNCRP got the findings after conducting drives over six months.
