BCL declares its 19 posts vacant amid controversy row

Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) on Tuesday night finally declared 19 posts of its newly formed 301-member full-fledged central committee vacant.

The announcement of this annulment has been confirmed on Tuesday night through an official notification signed by BCL central committee president Rezwanul Huq Chowdhury Shovon and General Secretary Golam Rabbani.

The notification was finally published following the ongoing sit-in programme of agitating deprived BCL faction demanding the expulsion of the controversial leaders in the newly formed central body.


Earlier, Chhatra League General Secretary Golam Rabbani said that the posts of 19 controversial posts would be declared vacant.

The notification said that according to an emergency decision of the central BCL, it is being informed that on the basis of the received initial complaints, 19 posts of central BCL were declared vacant. Later, those posts will be filled after proper verification.
