Dutch-Bangla Bank signed a participatory refinance agreement with Bangladesh Bank under Second Small and Medium Sized Enterprise Development Project (SMEDP-2) at the Bangladesh Bank head office in the capital on Tuesday.
Under the agreement, Dutch-Bangla Bank will get refinance from Bangladesh Bank which enables them to extend loan to the cottage, micro, small and medium enterprise situated outside Dhaka and Chattogram metropolitan area with lower interest rate, said a press release.Mentionable that a customer can avail maximum Tk 30 million loan under the scheme.
AKM Fazlur Rahman, Project Director of SMEDP-2 and Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank and Abul Kashem Md. Shirin, Managing Director and CEO of Dutch-Bangla Bank signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
Md Abul Bashor, General Manager, Department of Financial Inclusion, Bangladesh Bank, Md. Abedur Rahman Sikder, SEVP and Chief Retail Business Officer (CRBO), Md. Anwar Faruq Talukder, EVP and Head of SME (PPG) Division of Dutch-Bangla Bank and other high officials from both the organisations attended the programme.
