Laos smartly reached the semifinals of the Bangamata U-19 Women's International Gold Cup football as the Group B champion with all-win record beating all-losers Tajikistan by 6-0 goals in the last group engagement at the floodlit Bangabandhu National Stadium here on Saturday night.
Saysamone Inthaphone made a hat-trick scoring three goals, central midfielder Pe scored twice while Anouta Chanthithongnettedthe other goal for high-flying Laos, which got off to a flying start in the tournament outplaying Mongolia by 5-0 goals on Thursday.
Group A champions Laos will play Group B runners-up Kyrgyzstan in the first semifinal on April 29 at 6pm while the Group B champions Bangladesh will take on Group A runners-up Mongolia on April 30, also at 6pm.
In the day's game, Laos got the first goal in the very 4th minute as their midfielder Pe found the net by a right footer (1-0).
In the 25th minute, another midfielder Anouta Chanthithong doubled the margin for Laos (2-0).
Tajikistan got another blow in the 37th minute as Laos were awarded a penalty and Pe did no mistake to convert a spot kick correctly (3-0).
In the second half, rampant Laos also maintained their over-all supremacy in the match with Saysamone Inthaphone making a hat-trick scoring three goals in a row in the half.
