The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Monday approved a charge sheet against three people including a former engineer of Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation (BCIC) and two owners of private firms for misappropriating fertiliser worth over Tk 11 crore from government warehouse.

The anti-graft body approved the charge sheet at a meeting held at the commission’s headquarters in the capital’s Segunbagicha, said ACC spokesperson Pranab Kumar Bhattcharjee. The accused are Nabir Uddin Khan, former deputy-chief engineer of BCIC, who was in-charge of buffer fertiliser warehouse at Santahar in Naogaon, and Moshiur Rahman Khan, the owner of South Delta Shipping and Trading Company and Rashedul Islam Raja, owner of Raja Enterprise.

October 2, 2017, the ACC’s assistant director Aminul Islam filed the case with Adamdighi Police Station in Bogura against three accused for graft charges.
