EMK center and Global Educators Initiative for Sustainable Transformation (GEIST) International Foundation, Bangladesh jointly organised a day long workshop styled ‘’ Setting Standards to Ensure Quality Education: A Commercial Viable Model For Accreditation ‘’ at EMK center in the capital.
Academics, researchers, educators, and learners across the country joined the workshop. Teachers and students from some selected 20 schools across the country attended the program.
Director of EMK center (Dhaka) Naveed Akbar was present as guest of honour with President, GEIST International Foundation, Biplob Kumar Deb in the chair.
Speakers stressed for creating massive awareness among the people of the globe to build the earth more beautiful, safe and habitable for the future generation through skill based teaching learning. They emphasised on sustainable teaching learning and urged the educators and learners to take the lead of the campaign- ‘Ensuring Quality Education for all –SDGSs’ as they could make significant change in this regard.
Speaking at the programme, the chief guest said it is the biggest challenge to reach the target for us - ‘Ensuring Quality Education for all –SDGSs’.
“We need to set up goals and some standards based on which sustainable model will be recognised, commercially viable that can ensure quality education in the institutes.”
He also urged the teachers, educators, NCTB officials, guardians and students to develop awareness and take measures in this regard.
‘We need quality and sustainable education to build the future generation of the country. A common indicator needs to be set up in all schools for teaching-learning in order to ensure quality education. Students need to be familiar with the global trend and get prepared to face the challenges of the earth. So, imparting quality and becoming familiar with global trend of teaching-learning is very indispensable,” Naveed added.
