Bashundhara Shuvosangho members took part in an iftar mahfil
with destitute children at Jahangirnagar University on Sunday afternoon.
The aim was to share the joy of breaking fast with street
children and revive humanitarian values on campus and in the locality.
General Secretary of the Bashundhara Shuvosangho JU branch,
Sanjida Khanam, said, “Bashundhara Shuvosangho has been working continuously
for social development. Through the iftar arrangement, we believe we have been
able to further strengthen our sense of brotherhood. The joy of iftar increased
severalfold as street children participated alongside the members of the
organisation. We will continue such humanitarian initiatives in the future.”
Branch President Protyasha Rani said, “It feels very good to
distribute iftar and share the meal with the children. The smiles on their
faces after receiving the iftar were our greatest reward. Such humanitarian
initiatives spread messages of compassion and love in society. Everyone should
take part in initiatives like this.”
