Bashundhara Shuvosangho members distributed free iftar items
among 100 fasters, including underprivileged people, labourers, and
pedestrians, in three different parts of the capital.
The organisation’s branch at International University of
Business and Technology (IUBAT) organised the distribution at Kamarpara,
Ranabhola and Uttara-10 areas.
Branch Adviser Md Farhad Hossain delivered a directive
speech at the event. He said, “Ramadan teaches us not only self-purification
but also to stand beside the underprivileged in society. The example of
compassion set by the students today is truly commendable. If this spirit
continues, we will be able to build a more empathetic society.”
Co-adviser Tanmay Shikdar said, “Today’s arrangement proves
that positive change is possible when young people are willing to take
initiative. Such efforts should stem from a sense of social responsibility, and
I sincerely thank every member of the branch.”
The organisation’s Academic Mentor, Juhi Jannat Mim, said in
her remarks, “True joy lies in humanitarian work. The smiling faces we saw
today will remain our inspiration.”
Administrative Mentor Mahtab Hossain Naim said, “Such
activities enhance leadership qualities, a sense of responsibility, and empathy
among students. We hope to carry out even larger initiatives in the future.”
