With the aim of fostering social harmony, and humanitarian
values of Ramadan, Bashundhara Shuvosangho donated iftar items among the
destitute, and also hosted a mahfil for locals at a rural area in Gaibandha Sadar
Upazila on Tuesday.
The mahfil was held on the banks of the historic Gordighi
pond of the upazila.
Prior to the event, members of Bashundhara Shuvosangho
visited the homes of underprivileged and elderly people, inquired about their
well-being, and delivered iftar items to them.

Shuvosangho Gaibandha Sadar Upazila branch, Md Samiul Basir. Among other

Islam, Md Ziaur Rahman, and Office Secretary Md Sabuj.
President Md Samiul Basir said, “The month of Ramadan is a
time of self-restraint, self-purification, and attaining taqwa. It teaches
people to feel the suffering of others and strengthens the bonds of compassion,
brotherhood, and harmony in society.”
General Secretary Md Ashidul Islam stated, “Through the
iftar donation programme and mahfil organized on the occasion of holy Ramadan,
we hope to further strengthen the bonds of fraternity and goodwill among people
from different walks of life. Bashundhara Shuvosangho will continue such
welfare activities for the betterment of society in the future.”
A special prayer was also offered seeking continued
progress, peace, prosperity, and well-being for the country and the nation.
Prayers were also offered for the unity of the Muslim Ummah.
After the prayer session, all guests, well-wishers, and
members of the organization shared iftar items together in a cordial
